TITLE: E2 Emerging Leader Program Manager
COMPENSATION: $4,000-$5,000/month, commensurate with experience
HOURS: Part-time (20 hours/week, negotiable) starting ASAP
LOCATION: Remote, with preference for Chicago, Denver, Raleigh-Durham, New York
or San Francisco. Must be willing/able to travel occasionally.
Organization Description
Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) is a national, non-partisan organization of business
leaders who advocate for smart policies that are good for our economy and our
environment. An affiliate of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), E2 works

Contract Work Description.
As part of its overall growth strategy, E2 seeks a creative and driven consultant to help
identify, develop, organize and empower the next generation of business leaders for our
environment.
The E2 Emerging Leader Program Manager will help oversee our work with early and
mid-stage business leaders and identify and develop ways to engage them in our
advocacy, communications and organizing efforts designed to advance smart climate
and clean energy policies.
This person will also administer and help manage our E2’s 1Hotels Fellowship program,
which annually supports six early career individuals working in the clean economy
space with financial awards and mentorship opportunities with our network.
A strong candidate has experience in organizing, event planning, and involvement in the
clean economy as an organizer, advocate or practitioner. Experience working with
young people and early and mid-career business leaders will be highly valued. This
person needs to be a good listener and be able to translate feedback into opportunities
for our network.
Responsibilities
Business outreach: Recruit business leaders to our Emerging Leaders program
via targeted outreach, partner events, conferences, and more.
Coalition building: Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations.
Events: Create, plan and execute events (independently and in partnership with
other groups) to educate and engage existing and prospective E2 Emerging
Leaders.
Emerging Leaders Program management, including:
o Managing mentorship programs
o Overseeing communications and engagement opportunities
o Developing and implementing educational opportunities
E2 1Hotels Fellowship management, including:
o Managing marketing and application process
o Organizing virtual and in-person meetings
o Onboarding new Fellows and managing coordination with existing Fellows
Record-keeping: help E2 staff maintain up-to-date records on E2 business
members and supporters.
Professional Qualifications
· Experience in outreach and organizing
· Experience engaging with the business community
· Experience or strong interest in clean energy, climate and environmental policy
· Comfort working autonomously and remotely
· Excellent time management, attention to detail, and follow-through
· Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
